The Throne: Ni**as in Paris

Whatagwan Kinfolk,

Okay, so here it is.  The Throne shot their official video for the club-banger “Ni**as in Paris” at their ridiculous 2-day sold out stop at Staples Center here in LA.  There’s a photo sensitivity disclaimer on this, so epileptics are warned.  Stylistically, this is a fantastic reinterpretation of being at the concert on psychedelics!  Jay & Ye definitely ran things in 2011.  It’s been confirmed by the group that they are ready to put out another album as well as solo releases for 2012.  With over a decade of creative synergy, excellent marketing and brand management, and obviously great respect for one another, there’s no telling what stratosphere they’ll take us this year.

OK GO: Needing/Getting (Official Video)

Whatagwan Kinfolk,

OK GO never ceases to amaze us with the originality and precise physical engineering in their eyegasmic videos over the past few years.  This one, in partnership with Chevrolet, blew us away during Super Bowl XLVI.  An unusual musical rally car track was built with more than 1000 instruments strategically placed over a 2 mile stretch of desert.  The Chevy Sonic (blown out w/ retractable mechanical arms) was showcased as the “bandmobile”.  Sponsors Chevrolet, Gretsch and Directors Brian L. Perkins & Damian Kulash, Jr. hit a home run with this rally stunt-heavy masterpiece.  For more behind the scenes footage, check out www.LetsDoThis.com and www.okgo.net.

Burning Man: Oh The Places You’ll Go

Sisters & Bredren,

Here’s a very snazzy Burning Man video shot at 2011′s Rites of Passage.  The premise is a story about the high’s n lows of LIFE, loosely based on Dr. Seuss‘s final book before his death. This uber-creative seven minute flick was Directed, Produced & Edited by Teddy Saunders (www.tedshots.com) and his amazing crew.  It definitely gave us a “contact high” here at the SwitchFlip Headquarters.  To all of our religious “Burner” friends, enjoy!
