Firefly Music Festival 2015: Daily Lineup Schedule

Happy Hump Day Earthlings!

T-Minus 24 Hours to Firefly Music Festival! Can you believe it is already that time once again?  Are you ready to get your Eardrums blown?  In it’s infancy (4th year), the nation’s fastest growing music festival is up to 90,000+ attendees and counting. Major acts such as The Killers, Kings of Leon, Morrissey, Foster the People, Snoop Dogg,  Zedd, Modest Mouse, Paul McCartney and many more will be rocking it out at Dover Downs Speedway (Dover, Delaware).  I’m sure you know all of this already, so let’s get to what you need most. Here’s the daily performance schedule so you can align the times and which stages to meet your friends and family.

Click the image below to get to the website for all 2015 Firefest Survival Guide information. For those who are unable to attend in person but interested in “CouchFly” this weekend, AXS TV has you covered.  Just like Coachella, AXS TV will be broadcasting FireFly each day.  You can click the AXS TV link in the last sentence for broadcast schedules and such on their website. Sweetness, right?  Yeah we know…you’re welcome!

Oh yeah, Give us a shout out if you see our head honcho Damon Howard (aka D-How or dj DameDigi) bouncing around proudly in his hometown area!  Use the hashtags #switchflipfirefly  and #firefly2015 in your photos and posts to show love if you can remember in between beverages and such (wink wink).

Firefly Festival 2015: Countdown

Happy Friday Earthlings!

The Firefly Festival is about to begin in T-Minus 5 days!  Can you believe it?  Chicago’s Red Frog Entertainment has now teamed up Los Angeles’ Goldenvoice/AEG Live (the juggernaut behind our county’s largest concert festival…Coachella) for this 4th installment.  Based in good ole lil Dover, Delaware (The First State…who would’ve thunk?) Firefly is expecting over 90,000 people for this year’s turnout.  It’s been growing by leap and bounds each year, doubling in size and breaking attendance records for any summer concert series nationwide.  Even Sir Paul McCartney (of The Beatles, not Kanye West’s buddy, you ignorant youngsters) is headlining the bill.  Check out the Lineup above, and a recap of last year’s event below. Stay tuned for our post on the daily lineup schedule and survival guide.  Hurry to get your tickets because it is almost sold out again!  #switchflipcertified

St. Lucia: We Got It Wrong

Wussdascience Wurld,

Jean-Philip Grobler (aka St. Lucia) has officially signed to Neon Gold Records!  The South African Native definitely has his own distinct take on dance music.  After “coming of age” in the UK and NYC, the Brooklynite is about to drop his debut EP later this month.  The vocalist-producer-instrumentalist has been treacherously remixing for the likes of Club Feet, Charlie XCX and even Foster The People.  Riding a high from St. Lucia’s residency at Pianos last month, we are keeping an eye out on new releases as he builds his blend of upbeat African rhythms and futuristic electro-synth wall of sound.  Click the first image below for his official “We Got It Wrong” video release.  We’ve also included a remix version below (it’s cool to see a remix producer get his own songs remixed).  #SwitchFlip Certified fo shizzle, my nizzles.

Yelawolf: Let’s Roll ft. Kid Rock

Happy Mardi Gras!

Here’s the latest video by Eminem’s Shady Records artist Yelawolf.  The Alabama native’s major label debut album “Radioactive” has been receiving mixed reviews, notably for some of it’s forced “crossover” appeal.  Although these latest singles are more mainstream than the earlier wild style independent efforts, we are seeing this talented MC grow artistically right before our eyes.  If you don’t think this cat has his own delightfully unique rap delivery, then you definitely don’t know what it means to be a real MC.   Kid Rock provides the hook, which is very fitting, since he’s a bonafide Detroit Hip Hop Hick!  I mean, the jacked up cadillac limo alone makes this a sick video.  Yela reps his country roots hard in this one, like a true ‘Bama!  Check it out….Let’s Roll!
